Our Story
They say that necessity is the mother of invention, and Wise Pelican is no exception. It all began when our Founder, Geoff Lilienfeld and his wife Andrea started their real estate team, The Kay-Grant Group, in 2016.
Having read Gary Keller's The Millionaire Real Estate Agent, they knew that direct mail was a key element in generating listings. However, after researching a variety of companies and options, they realized there were some challenges:
- USPS EDDM may be affordable, but how do we avoid sending mailers to renters in a given area?
- As our business grows, do we really need to make multiple trips to the Post Office?
- What if we only have 75 mailers to send, but every reputable direct mail company has a minimum order of 200?
Instead of settling for what was available, Geoff decided to buy a printer and take matters into his own hands. And, as The Kay-Grant Group began to grow, the need for a simple and effective avenue for real estate agents to mail postcards became clear.
